Seneca Historical Museum

The Seneca Port District moved the Seneca Depot across the street and performed an extensive rehabilitation to restore the old building.  Currently, the depot is leased to the Seneca Historical Guild.  The Seneca Historical Museum and the Visitor Center is now housed in the depot building.

LST Memorial

The Landing Ship Tank Memorial is a tribute to the workers of the Chicago Bridge and Iron company who built these landing ships and the members of Navy and Coast Guard who sailed them in 3 wars. Seneca Port District, along with the Village of Seneca and Seneca Park Board, maintain the LST Memorial. The monument stands in Crotty Park in Seneca, on property adjacent to the old Chicago Bridge and Iron shipyard. The company had been chosen to build the LSTs because of their reputation and skills, particularly welding.

Graves Park Pavilion

During the summer of 2019, the Seneca Port District built a pavilion that includes a concession stand and bathrooms.  The pavilion has been donated to the Village of Seneca.   The park is anticipated to open Memorial Day, 2020.   The park includes a walking path, baseball/softball fields, pavilion, concession stand, bathrooms and a playground.
