The Shipyard Industrial Park, the larger of the two industrial parks, comprises approximately 185 acres zoned industrial, all of which are within the TIF (Tax Increment Financing) district. The property includes a mile and a half of frontage on the Illinois River. Businesses within the Industrial Park provide bulk barge loading and unloading capability, rail to truck transfer equipment, cranes to 200 tons, 12,000 linear feet of rail, heavy duty forklifts and a 100,000 lb truck scale. Rail service is provided by CSX. Commonwealth Edison, Illinois Power, NICOR gas, and AT&T provide utility service. Seneca Historical Museum

The Seneca Port District moved the Seneca Depot across the street and performed an extensive rehabilitation to restore the old building.

Landing Ship Tank Memorial

A tribute to the workers of the Chicago Bridge and Iron company who built these landing ships and the members of Navy and Coast Guard who sailed them in 3 wars.

Graves Park Pavilion

Anticipated to open Memorial Day, 2020, the park will include a walking path, baseball/softball fields, pavilion, concession stand, bathrooms and a playground.

High School Scholarship

Each year the Seneca Port District awards a $6,000 scholarship to four Seneca High School graduating Seniors who are attending a community college.
